菲天主教：教宗明年1月訪菲

（中央社記者林行健馬尼拉2014年7月8日專電）菲律賓天主教正式宣布，教宗方濟各（Pope Francis）將於明年1月訪問菲律賓，關懷海燕颱風災民。

馬尼拉樞機主教塔格萊（Luis Antonio Tagle）在記者會上說，梵蒂岡預定於7月底或8月初公布教宗來訪日期，11月公布在菲律賓的行程。

塔格萊說，負責安排教宗行程的梵蒂岡人員，上週巡視了馬尼拉和海燕重災區塔克羅班（Tacloban）市，他們將向教宗報告災區情況。

他補充，教宗要求此行從簡且聚焦教牧。

菲律賓約8成民眾是天主教徒，天主教人口高居全球第3，如果方濟各成行，他將是繼保祿6世（1970年訪菲）、若望保祿2世（1981年和1995年）之後，第3位訪問菲律賓的天主教教宗。

教宗方濟各年事已高，觀察家認為，如果教宗明年1月來訪，意味著他很有可能不會參加2016年在宿霧市召開的國際聖體大會。
