儘管美國股市本週稍早一度走跌，且週四指數期貨重挫，但私募基金億萬投資人羅斯 (Wilbur Ross) 週四 (10 日) 表示，由於美股價位仍處於歷史上最高水準範圍，他們目前仍偏好賣股勝過買股。

身為 WL Ross & Co 董事長的羅斯，以專門投資價格受到重擊的資產聞名。他接受《CNBC》電視節目「Squawk Box」訪問時透露，總體而言，這段時間他賣股比買股多，今年以來比例達 6:1 之多，且在各個市場皆然。

美股指數期貨週三 (9 日) 一度反彈，因美國聯準會 (Fed) 公布的上回貨幣政策會議紀錄釋出鴿派訊號；但週四又重挫，並預告道瓊指數週四一開盤大跌 3 位數，跟隨歐洲股市走軟，因義大利經濟數據不佳，加上葡萄牙最大上市銀行爆出財務危機。

羅斯過往投資財務受挫的歐洲銀行成功紀錄良好，他週四表示，美股價格仍居高，加上股指接近史上最高價位，在此情況下，適合賣股的機會多過有股可買，並不令人意外。
