伊波拉奪命 增至1229人喪生

（中央社日內瓦2014年8月19日綜合外電報導）世界衛生組織（WHO）今天說，伊波拉毒在短短3天內又奪走84人性命，使得全球因這波伊波拉疫情死亡人數達到1229人。

法新社報導，感染伊波拉死亡人數一週前破1000人大關後，在14至16日間更迅速攀升。

世界衛生組織說，確診病患人數3天來激增113人，使得伊波拉確診病例達2240人。
