（中央社記者林行健馬尼拉2014年12月31日專電）菲律賓首都馬尼拉以南下午發生芮氏規模5.4地震，截至傍晚未傳人員傷亡及財產損失。

菲律賓火山暨地震研究所（Phivolcs）說，地震發生於下午5時26分，震央位於八打雁省（Batangas）西南方約17公里處的海底，深度108公里，距馬尼拉約140多公里，起因為地殼移動。

避暑勝地塔加泰（Tagaytay）可感受到規模4的震度，首都大馬尼拉也感受到晃動。官員稱，可能會有餘震。

2天前，菲律賓南部也發生2場地震，其中1次強度達芮氏規模6.1，所幸都未造成傷亡及財產損失。

菲國位於太平洋火山圈和地震斷層帶，火山活動和地震頻繁，每月平均發生4、5次有感地震。
